"If you are looking for a wonderfully thoughtful experience, look no further! Luana Moana is an absolute dream! Tucked away in a quiet area, you are not far from the excitement and nightlife. Even better, it is only about 15 minutes from the airport!
We spent every morning relaxing on the lanai with our French pressed coffee, watching the turtles swim and enjoying the sound of the waves crashing on shore right below us. They have thought of everything! There is full line of reef friendly spa products including sunscreen, robes and slippers, beach chairs and cooler, make up mirrors, rice cooker, coffee grinder for that fresh Hawaiian Kona, a blender…even ice spheres and a charcuterie board just to name a few of many thoughtful additions!
The information provided after booking about the island and recommended activities made planning our excursions outside of this beautiful little “homebase” that much more incredible. It is central on the island and made exploration in all directions that much easier and our marvelous host, Denise, was quick to respond to all our questions. Luana Moana ALSO comes with a local concierge so your romantic gestures and birthday celebrations can easily be accommodated prior to arrival with a little extra care!
I personally was in LOVE with the fresh modern feel of the furniture and interiors, distinctly different from the cheesy Hawaiian décor displayed in many of the other options. If you are looking for luxury comfort, this is your place. My family especially loved the round table, as it made for good conversation and card playing on a lazy day. The beds were extremely comfortable and the towels were soft and plush. The building’s elevator was helpful for hauling in our overpacked suitcases and were even more valuable as the souvenirs tested the zippers during our bittersweet exit. Thank you for the incredible memories!

"Wow, just wow. The pictures simply don't do this listing justice. Upon walking into the room you're immediately greeted with impeccable views of Maalaea Bay, the waves crashing on the shore just 50 feet away. We spotted sea turtles while relaxing on the lanai, and made many trips to the beach just a 10 minute walk away, at which we were pleasantly surprised to find almost nobody there. If you like peace and quiet but want to be close to everything, then this is the place for you. We loved the building's quiet time from 10pm to 8am; there were no slamming doors or screaming kids. We fell asleep to the sound of the ocean and awoke to a beautiful sunrise over the mountains. The beds were very comfortable and the decor was tasteful. The host has taken the time to document and label everything, and is very communicative and helpful. Highly recommend!"

"This apartment is a gem. Denise has thought of literally everything and is super organized. You will be gently guided through the lay of the land starting about a month before your reservation. She has put loving kindness into the details of decoration and accommodations for the home. Whether you are bold and hop off the staircase, or walk to the beach, or sit on the lanai and read a book or whale-watch, or visit the aquarium, you are in good hands. Such a tranquil, relaxing jump off point for any adventure and a joy to come “home” to for a bit. Denise, herself, is a sweetheart… and it shows in the level of thought put into the apartment. I came during a difficult time in my life… I am leaving refreshed and renewed even though I spent most of my time right near the anchor of this beautiful space. I could not be happier with my choice of places to stay."

"This listing is a dream. From the moment you open the door you will not only see the ocean but you will also hear it. It is so wonderful and healing. My family of 4 stayed in this beautiful condo. It is clean and all furnishings are brand new. Everything is well appointed and thought of - not only towards guests but nature as well - from the organic shampoos and lotion, the reef-friendly sunscreen, the eye sleep covers, “oops I forgot” kit which may be helpful for guests in case they forgot to bring an item or two. We opened the refrigerator and there was a pineapple, banana bread which were sooooo delicious! We ended up buying more of the banana bread before we left for the airport. My small kids loved hanging out at the porch overlooking the ocean. At night me and my hubby also loved drinking at the porch, listening to the sounds of the waves. The location is in the middle of the island, making it easier to to travel to either side of Maui. The port going to Molokini and other neighboring islands are within walking distance. It is a short drive to Walmart and Costco for groceries and souvenirs, and also to the many food trucks that serve a variety of good tasting meals! The beds were soft and comfortable. We left the window open at night so we could listen to sounds of ocean while we slept; and were greeted in the morning by the beautiful sunrise over the Haleakala volcano and the Maalea Bay. Just in front of the property we saw some people snorkeling, diving and paddle boarding. On our day trips we were able to use the beach towels, cooler, beach umbrella and beach chairs. Denise was very easy to get a hold of and responded quickly when I asked her about recommendations. She is very pleasant and hospitable."

"Leaving paradise—We had a wonderful 6-night stay at Luana Moana. This condo is comfortable, clean & centrally located. The description of the listing is accurate & the decor is contemporary with a Hawaiian flair. The amenities provided are nice touches, as was the welcome basket. We were able to relax and enjoy the moment we arrived. Denise (host) and Barbara (manager) were easy to communicate with, responsive to questions and very friendly! The condo community also has friendly residents & has just the right amount of quiet. Maalea Bay is a hidden gem, and this condo is right on the ocean. We were able to see whales, turtles, crabs and jumping fish—no excursion needed! A pleasant surprise on NYE was the fireworks display across the bay. Tonight when we sleep at home, we will miss the sound of the waves & hope to return again."

We loved Denise’s condo! The listing was very accurate; great communication about things to do and what to expect. Denise was incredibly responsive to every questions, even minor things like where the iron was. The best part about this condo is the lanai. You are so close to the water. We cancelled our afternoon plans one day and just sat out in the comfy chairs on the lanai watching whales, turtles, and enjoying one of the most gorgeous views there is. Once we figured out the cross breezes, we were fine without A/C, but you do need to open the windows to make it happen, otherwise it will be a bit warm. We loved walking to the beach and the harbor for a snorkel tour. We also loved being so central and having an easy drive pretty much any direction. The condo is so thoughtfully appointed. There’s everything you need or may have forgotten. You can tell the thought and energy that went into creating it for guests. Mahalo Denise! We are so glad we chose your place and hope to return

"Our stay here was extremely comfortable! Everything was clean, the pictures are an accurate representation of the property, and check-in instructions were extremely straightforward and easy. Denise is extremely communicative in making sure we had everything we needed and was extremely quick and helpful with responses about anything I had questions about. All of the necessary amenities were available and ready for us to use including "whoops I forgot" bins. Welcome banana bread, jam, and a full pineapple were waiting for us in the fridge when we arrived! The view is beautiful and incredibly relaxing. The property is very close to the airport and the Maui Ocean Center, though it is a little ways away from Lahaina IF you were interested in frequenting that area (this was not an issue for us, though I would definitely recommend renting a car on Maui). Overall, this was a great experience and I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay on Maui!"

"Denise is a great host, and this is a great place on Maui. She pays attention to _every_ detail, and it was apparent from even before we arrived. And once we arrived, the view of the ocean 50 feet in front of the lanai was picture perfect. We spent a lot of time on that lanai. As encouraged, we kept the windows and doors open, let the breezes and the sound of the waves relax us. The furnishings, the art, the linens, the kitchen and kitchenware, the "oops, we forgot" items she had waiting for us were great and were top notch. The fresh pineapple and chocolate macadamia nuts were a real treat. In fact, I want to know where I can get bed headboards like hers. Her's is the gold standard of AirBnB."
